Interested to try scrambling but don’t know where to start? Want to learn new skills, to tackle more complex hills with confidence and in safety? Looking to overcome a fear of heights?
Join us in magical Glencoe for a two day workshop designed to improve your confidence and ability on steeper, more exposed ground.
Day 1: introductory scrambling on easy ground. Coaching, footwork and confidence-building in a variety of terrain
Day 2: intermediate scrambling with the use of a rope by instructor to safeguard more tricky sections
Whilst Munro-bagging is not the primary objective of this course, we will aim to take in at least one major peak on our travels. This course is very much the core of what Dubh Mor is all about: giving you the skills and confidence to “Do More” than you thought possible! 😊
The trip will be run by Neil personally. He is extremely passionate about using the environment as a vehicle for your self-development. As a qualified Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor, he can lead, guide and instruct you, offering coaching, tips and instruction throughout, as well as the physical security of a rope when required. You will be in the safest of hands, allowing you to tackle the scrambles with confidence and security and gain valuable skills to put into practice on your own days out!
Group sizes are kept low to maximise your safety, learning and enjoyment.
A good standard of fitness is required for these challenging days. ⛰️⛰️
*We’d love you to join us for both days, but if you can only make one, you’re welcome to come along for £100pp per day. (1 day booking not available via website – please contact us for booking and joining instructions)
We will meet each day at the Clachaig Inn at 0845. This puts us right in the centre of some of the best scrambling terrain in the UK and gives us lots of options. There is also a good variety of accommodation options available nearby to suit all tastes and budgets. Please contact us if you would like further information on this.
